PI's 25 Steps to Christmas - Step Eleven: Christmas Movies

If you've been frantically running around like a headless chicken trying to prepare for Christmas or perhaps you need something to help motivate your Christmas spirit you will need to watch some Christmas films.
Christmas films are an incredibly important part of the season, from the sweetest, most life affirming movies, such as 'It's A Wonderful Life' , which has been around for an incredible 67 years(!!) to modern classics such as 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'Die Hard', there really is something for everyone to enjoy. Yes, they do generally tend to have a higher 'cheese' content than non-festive films but it is all part and parcel of the season I'm afraid!

Here are some of the best, perfect for Children and Adults alike:

Home Alone - There have been four films made in this franchise, but the most notable ones are the first and second, which star a baby-faced Macaulay Culkin. If you haven't seen the films before they are undoubtedly worth a watch and if you have, watch them again, they never get old.

Elf - Will Ferrell is a human raised by Elves, the film follows his journey to New York to find his father. Its a fantastic film for all. It is heavy on the 'cheese', with regards to Christmas spirit but it is also very tongue-in-cheek.

The Grinch - Jim Carey takes on a Dr. Seuss classic in the 2000 remake of the cartoon, 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'. It is another cheesy Christmas movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Nativity 2 Danger in the Manger! - Has been highly recommended to us from a very reputable source (our MD!), for its hilarity! The film stars David Tennant as a teacher, and follows his class on a road trip to the National 'Song For Christmas' Competition.
