4th Dec 2012 - Party Ingredients Advent Calendar: Christmas Decorations Shopping

In the past week, we’ve received several tweets and emails about Christmas trees going up and being decorated at our venues. The Christmas first arrived at Saddlers’ Hall, where this picture was tweeted last week. Yesterday, Skinners’ Hall Christmas tree was decorated with the help of several mince pies and some mulled wine.

London loves Christmas, it seems. And Christmas decorations. Several shops from department stores to independent boutiques and market stalls have a beautiful offering of decorations, and a list of our favourites for Christmas Decorations Shopping is here, behind the third door of our advent calendar.

Luxury -

Liberty’s renowned Christmas shop on the fourth floor of their Regent Street store has opened again this year, with a huge selection of glittering baubles, handmade and stunning Christmas crackers and a vast variety of beautiful Christmas decorations, stockings and gift ideas.

Traditional –

The Christmas Shop is located in Hay’s Galleria on the south bank of River Thames. Just like the name suggests, this shop is filled with decorations from garlands and wreaths to treetop stars, ornaments and paper chains. To make it even better, Hay’s Galleria is looking absolutely stunning this year with its Christmas lights.

DIY –

If you believe the best decorations are handmade, don't miss VV Rouleaux, “the Chanel of ribbon and trimmings shops”. Their Marylebone store is the go-to shop for ribbons, tassels, trimmings and everything you need to create your own Christmas decorations.  The owners of the brand love all things fashion, and this truly shows in their classy, irresistible designs.

Independent –
