CELEBRATING NATIONAL SEAFOOD WEEK
9 Oct 2019 | Shay Stanberry
The 4-11th of October is officially National Seafood Week! It’s an annual campaign for British businesses to celebrate and encourage the range of seafood dishes available in the UK and the accompanying health benefits. Not only is it a great time for businesses to encourage customers to try new dishes, it’s also the perfect excuse for customers to extend their palettes.
Here at Party Ingredients we have a fabulous list of seafood and shellfish dishes across all our menus - some more traditional like our Mini Fish and Chips Canapés served in newspaper cones, and others more adventurous like our Crayfish Tortellini with a Seafood Bisque - both undeniably tasty.
Despite our extensive menu, we also have a responsibility to the environment and to our clients to know where all our ingredients come from. We buy locally because food miles do not improve the taste of our ingredients or reduce the impact we have on our environment, and proud to use sustainably sourced fish, working with the Marine Stewardship Council to keep abreast of sustainable fish stock.
As we come to the end of a great week, we want to encourage you to shop locally to help strengthen your community and to be kinder to the environment. So, whether you’re a big sea-foodie or always looking for new recipes, National Seafood Week is the right time to get creative with your dishes.
