Champagne, Mulled Wine, Canapé and Lovely Bunch of People at the Launch Event at Barber-Surgeons’ Hall

Last week we were in the Event Magazine news for becoming the exclusive caterers at Barber-Surgeons’ Hall, a beautiful livery hall in the heart of the City. 

This week, the celebrations continued as we hosted a launch reception at the Hall last night. We invited people who we have worked with before and people who we will be working with in the future, Masters and Clerks from other livery companies, local event managers, consultants, event agencies, destination managers.. A great turnout and an absolutely lovely mixture of people.

We naturally chatted about food, drink and events, catering, cooking and eating, but also about pumpkins, New York, Hong Kong, books, tortoises and the Olympics. We got praise for the waiting staff who were smiley and friendly, canapé that were plentiful, mulled wine and bubbles that were delicious and – most importantly – a venue that is versatile, beautifully kept, secluded but central, with that something different that so many event organisers are looking for.

A few Halloween pumpkins from last week’s carving competition had a top spot at the dessert table. They clearly wanted to try the to-die-for double-sided meringue pyramid with the peaks dipped in chocolate.
