Christmas Pudding Vodka - the stewing starts

We posted a few days ago our recipe for Christmas Pudding Vodka and made a promise we were going to try it out ourselves.

Doubling up the ingredients makes it double the fun, so a kilo of mincemeat (was lazy and bought this ready-made), half a kilo of marzipan and a couple of bottles of Vodka later, the kitchen smelt pretty funky and the sludgy mixture looked more like a blocked toilet than a Christmas present!  However, the advice is to stick with it to reap the awards of sweet vodka come December.  It's a winning present and completely unique!

Plus, you can reuse your boozy mincemeat in home made mince pies!

Don't add your Halloween pumpkin to the vodka bath (the best kind of bath excluding Champagne...)
