Mulled wine, a hearty pie, Christmas puddings and a river side view from Glaziers' Hall

Christmas at Glaziers' Hall makes you love London. This modernised livery hall, with its extraordinary view of the Thames and fantastic central location by London Bridge, is a lovely setting for a Christmas celebration. The River Room has floor to ceiling windows looking upon the lights of the City whilst the bridge glows in purple; this room is perfect for a reception of mulled wine or dining with up to 120 guests. The Banqueting Room down the corridor feels incredibly spacious yet cosy with its large arched stain-glass windows allowing the glow of London Bridge through, while guests at the round tables see yet another talking point.
Last night at a Carol Service at Glaziers' Hall we were delighted to serve mulled wine at the reception in the River Room, followed by dinner in the Banqueting Hall of steak and ale pie (or pumpkin and chestnut pie for vegetarians) with a golden pastry cap, medley of sprouts, Chantenay carrots and peas and champ potatoes, finishing with an extravaganza of PI's Christmas Plum Pudding (which we keep raving on about) with bountiful helpings of brandy butter and Devon cream.
