Escape to the City at the Weekend

The City of London was a wonderful place to be this weekend.  The usual attractions were teeming with happy tourists and Londoners alike, spilling out into the sunshine on the streets surrounding The Tower, St Pauls and the Tate. 

A few short streets away, in the lanes between Great Tower Street and the River, lies a wonderfully photogenic hideaway.


St Dunstan in the East was a Wren church bombed in the 2nd World War that has found a new incarnation as one of the most tranquil gardens in London.  Sunshine finds its way in through the remains of arched windows and between prolific palms and shrubs.  An absolutely stunning retreat...
