Flowers and trees steal the show at a Guildhall Wedding Reception
22 Oct 2012 | Don Macbeath
The floral decoration at a wedding reception we catered at on Saturday was outstanding. Whole trees were brought in to stand up in massive plant pots and each pillar down the Old Library Hall had its own autumnal flower and apple display. The colours chosen were seasonal and coordinated flawlessly with the colours pouring in through Guildhall's stained-glass windows.
We wish we could take credit for the sophisticated wedding cake that stood centrally. Each tier was topped with sugar primroses which were a popular hit with the young bridesmaids.
