London is bursting with many awe-inspiring Christmas markets, they are the best places to find beautiful and unique gifts, hear some carol singing, sample traditional seasonal treats and have a nice hot glass of mulled wine!
There are plenty of London Christmas markets and fairs, but here are our faves:
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Dates: 22 November 2013 - 5 January 2014
Opening times: 10am - 10pm daily, closed on Christmas Day
In its seventh year, Winter Wonderland has become a favourite in many Londoners' calendars. There are lots of things to do from fairground rides and an ice rink to Santa's grotto and Bavarian-style cafes and bars. Other popular attractions include Zippos Circus and the 53-metre-high Observational Wheel. Lots of fun, laughter and excitement for both adults and children.
Southbank Centre Christmas Market
Dates: 16 November - 24 December, 2013
Opening times: 11am - 9pm (10pm on Fri and Sat)
This German-style market features 80 authentically wooden challets selling affordable and quirky gifts such as hand-made soaps, ceramics, candles, unique jewellery and other Christmassy products. Feast on mince pies, Glühwein and Bratwurst while browsing the twinkling cabins.
The Boutique Market at Kew
Dates: 28 November, 2013 - 4 January, 2014
Opening times: 4.30pm - 10pm daily
Take an illuminated walk through the enchanting winter landscape and visit the Boutique Christmas market, filled with a range of hand-picked irresistible gifts and tempting treats for foodies.
