Party Ingredients Wishing Everyone Happy Christmas Jumper Day!
14 Dec 2012 | Vicky O'Hare
This year we joined hundreds of others up and down the country taking part to Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Wear a Christmas jumper to work and donate a little for charity (and a little more if you forgot to wear your finest knitwear!)
HOW WE DID IT
We got everyone together to sing a Christmas carol, see each others’ jumpers and collected a few pounds from each participant. As an incentive, we ran a competition with four categories, Best Homemade (winner: Chris in the bright blue snowman jumper), Best Cuddly (Suraj in a traditional style Christmas jumper pattern), Best Festive (Mike with a red reindeer jumper combined with a santa hat) and Best Innovative (Amelie who decorated her jumper with Christmas lights, wrapping paper cuttings and tinsel). Winners received Christmas stockings with seasonal treats and lottery tickets.
Quite a bowlful of money and better still, the MD promised to double the amount raised. We will be sending the cheque to Save the Children shortly.
