Party Ingredients’ Advent Calendar Helps to Make the Wait for Santa’s Visit Go a Little Quicker!

We are quite a sociable and busy bunch here at Party Ingredients. We love exploring London markets, knowing what is going on about town, seeing arts exhibitions and visiting theatre and events. Food is often one of the central interests but Christmas is also an inspiration for a lot of us. That’s why our December diary is full of fun, festive activities in the run-up to Christmas.

We have therefore put together a Party Ingredients Advent Calendar of what is happening in London in December. We want to share what to see, eat, experience and enjoy in the run-up to Christmas.

As 1st  December falls on a weekend, we decided to officially open the first ‘door’ of the Advent Calendar today.

Saturday 1st December

We are going to join The Social in Little Portland Street for their annual Christmas Market hosted by culture website Caught by the River. In addition to clothes, accessories, books and records from independent retailers, expect Social Christmas Ale on tap, mulled wine, impromptu DJ sets and outbreaks of festivity.

Another Christmas Fair worth visiting is a merry Hackney extravaganza taking place on Saturday at The Water Poet in Spitalfields. Ukulele sing-a-longs, local ales, flamboyant Christmas jumpers and Nordic theme on the decking, this sounds rather like a good Christmas party!

Sunday 2nd December

On Sunday, we will be taking it easy and attending Belgravia Christmas Sunday. It takes place on Elizabeth Street and Pimlico Road, where we will enjoy some of the luxurious, traffic-free shopping, festive live entertainment and posh nosh at a variety of local restaurants.

Out of Town

If you want to go wild and fancy a little trip out of London this weekend, head to Amsterdam where our very own, wonderful Amy Byford (who is an accomplished artist and painter on top of her day job as a chef here at Party Ingredients) is exhibiting at an international art showcase this weekend!

What an amazing weekend ahead and a great way to start December 2012! If you haven’t had any mulled wine yet, make sure you do this weekend.
