The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew - or Kew Gardens for short - is now a listed World Heritage Site, and home to the most diverse collection of living plants in the world. It's no wonder then that holding a wedding at Kew is an occasion to remember.
With two separate options, Kew Gardens can be the perfect location for intimate receptions or grand celebrations, and despite the surrounding greenery, each venue has a wet-weather option included.
Cambridge Cottage
This boutique cottage benefits from a private entrance, and with two adjoining spaces, the ability to host your day in one venue. Say your vows in the Drawing Room, or if the sun is shining, opt to have guests seated in the Cambridge Cottage Garden. Post-ceremony, enjoy drinks & canapés on the lawn whilst formal photos are taken. Then either move through to the Gallery to enjoy a decadent three course meal with seating for 80 guests, or remain in the sunshine & graze on a BBQ feast prepared in front of your guests. As the formalities end and additional evening guests arrive, enjoy your first dance as a couple in the Drawing Room, then party until the clock strikes 11pm!
The Nash Conservatory, Princess of Wales Conservatory & The Orangery
More commonly known as a 'Multi-Venue' wedding, the use of the three main venue spaces at Kew Gardens adds a definite wow factor to any nuptials. Arriving through the ceremonial Elizabeth Gate, guests are directed to take their seats in the light-filled Nash Conservatory, a truly impressive glasshouse seating up to 200 guests.
Once the registrar announces you married, guests move across to either the Princess of Wales Conservatory - a tropical greenhouse providing guests with plenty of florals to admire - or in the secluded lawns behind the conservatory with Kew Palace in view. Formal photographs can be taken on the lawns, or couples can make use of an escorted buggy to take stunning photos in the prime locations throughout the Gardens.
Guests can explore more of the Gardens as they move across to the The Orangery for the remainder of your day. Seating up to 200 guests for a dinner & dance, the Grade I listed Orangery provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate your wedding day.
