Royal Botanic Gardens

Kew Gardens, founded in 1579 by Princess Augusta, is now one of London`s top attractions and a World Heritage Site with unique landscapes, vistas and iconic architecture.

It is also home to the largest and most diverse collection of living plants in the world. The landscape contains a great scientific collection of over 14,000 trees, including rare and ancient varieties. Kew grows over 30,000 different kinds of plants from tropical, temperate, arid and alpine climates. Their mission is to be the global resource for plant and fungal knowledge, building an understanding of the world's plants and fungi upon which all our lives depend.

Kew Gardens hosts a great variety of events, walking tours, art exhibitions, short courses and also a week-long festival of summer picnic concerts.
