If the cold winter air isn’t enough of a reminder that the festive season is upon us, we thought we would give you a gentle reminder in the form of a festive London to-do list at some of our beautiful venues. Whether you enjoy ice-skating in the City or indulging in afternoon tea with a Christmas twist, there is an event for everyone.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to sing your heart out to Christmas tunes with the help of a 300-strong choir and a brass band, LSO Sing is the perfect event for you. Be part of a 2000-strong congregation on December 15th, as the countdown to Christmas truly begins.
If you haven’t ticked this gem off your bucket list, this is the year to do so. With a magical new route, framed with glittering spiral trees, dynamic
laser projections and a dazzling arch leading to a cascade of glowing silvery shards at the Treetop Walkway, Christmas at Kew will satisfy all your
festive needs. The light installation will be on until January 5th 2020, so be sure to book your tickets now.
Explore the Cutty Sark during its 150th Birthday Year & meet some of the characters on board, then fill up on smoked salmon and chive crème fraiche sandwiches, mini macaroons, lemon and drizzle shortcake, and more. Afternoon tea is always a great lunchtime treat and you can truly get into the Christmas spirit by enjoying a glass of bubbles with your tea.
Whether they are used to welcome guests as they hang on your front door or as the centre piece of your dining table, Christmas Wreaths are the perfect way to add to your festive décor. On December 8th you can decorate your own wreath at Chelsea Physic Garden, with dried orange, pine cones and more.
Nestled in the moat of the Tower of London, beside the Great Wall, the Tower of London has proven to be a gorgeous back drop for the perfect festive ice-skating trip. With seasonal refreshments and amazing historic views, the ice-rink is the perfect date-night or family day out location.
If you’re in the mood for traditional festive tunes, old favourites, some exciting new songs and some Christmas Number Ones thrown in for good measure, The London City Voices Christmas Concert is on December 7th and is destined to bring Christmas cheer.
Enjoy yuletide music and fun performers from the Nest Collective during their visit to The Founding Museum on December 13th. The Nest Collective will present an amazing line-up of folk performers, featuring award winning guitarist Ben Walker, hotly tipped folk trio Marisa Jack & Davy, and storytelling phenomenon Vanessa Woolf.
