Debuting in 1978, the Pride Rainbow flag has become the icon of the LGBTQ+ community. To celebrate London Pride this weekend, we've created an edible guide to the colours of the rainbow!
Red = Cherries. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Delicious in our gooey Chocolate & Cherry Brownies.Orange = Salmon. High in omega 3. We're big fans of salmon - poached, en croute, or marinated gravadlax, but you can't beat a classic Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese on Crostini.
Yellow = Potatoes. A great source of potassium and vitamin C. Chopped & fried with our delicious fish goujons to create the seaside staple of Fish & Chip Cones.
Green = Asparagus. Full of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin K. Our popular starter last year of Chargrilled Asparagus, Cucumber Mousseline, Soft Boiled Quails Eggs, Plum Tomato Salsa also features another green ingredient - cucumber!
Blue = Blueberries (of course!). Loaded with antioxidants, fibre and a whole host of micronutrients. We love to create jams to enjoy when the berries are out of season.
Indigo = Red Cabbage. Extremely high in vitamin C per 100g. Our red cabbage slaw is a perfect addition to chicken wraps or as a side dish for a BBQ buffet.
Violet = Lavender. Contains an abundance of vitamins & minerals, including vitamin A. Our Lavender Crème Brûlée Shots round off a canape party with a refreshing finish.
